High Carrying Capacity Stair Lift
Heavy Duty Series Stair Lifts – Maximum Weight Capacity
Overweight people with mobility issues can face difficulties at home, especially with regard to climbing and descending stairs. Stair lifts are the ideal solution to overcome such problems, allowing them to reach other floors in the house without putting extra strain on already strained muscles, joints and heart.
A significant number of overweight people also suffer from vertigo, which puts them at risk on long stairs.
But the problem is; Stair lifts have a maximum carrying capacity limit.
The maximum weight limit for a standard heavy duty stair lift was 160 kg until now.
Handicare Stair Lift, part of the Handicare Group, previously launched the 1000 XL model, which can also carry up to 160 kg.
Heavy Duty Stair Lift – Handicare 1000 XXL Now here is the good news; Companion has launched a new Handicare 1000 XXL model with a capacity of up to 197kg, a full 40kg more than the previous model and its competitors.
The XXL also comes with a range of new features designed for larger users:
A wider seat
Extended seat base (seat depth increased from 360mm to 425mm)
Extended armrests _ armrests (They increased the space between the armrests from 550mm to 637mm)
Extra long seat belt
Manual return seat model as standard
Since 2022, Handicare Stairlifts has simplified its product range, reducing the number of stairlift model names and now calling its heavy-duty straight stairlifts simply the Handicare 1000 (HD version).
What about curved stairlifts? The 4000 model was also produced for curved stair lifts and the heavy duty series of this model has a carrying capacity of 160 kg.
